Granada International Acquires ITV's 'Half Broken Things'

Granada International has acquired a brand new drama produced by Festival Film & TV for international distribution.
Starring Penelope Wilton ('Five Days', 'Doctor Who', 'Falling'), 'Half Broken Things' is a tense and disturbing two hour film commissioned by ITV.
Half Broken Things is a one off drama adapted from the award winning Morag Joss thriller by Alan Whiting, creator and writer of the hit series 'Kingdom'. Daniel Mays and Sinead Matthews also star, with Tim Fywell directing.
The film is produced by Ray Marshall, whose company Festival Film & TV is responsible for bringing the highly successful Catherine Cookson franchise to television with films including The Cinder Path with Catherine Zeta Jones and The Gambling Man starring Robson Green.
Noel Hedges, Granada International’s Head of Drama, commented: "We are delighted to be representing such a stylish and gripping contemporary drama which has a terrific cast and the high quality production skills we expect from Ray Marshall and his team at Festival. The Catherine Cookson titles have been a huge hit with international broadcasters over a number of years, and we hope to replicate this success on Half Broken Things."
